As with most creationss of necessity, the Puddle Jumper was developed to solve a continuing problem. A director of maintenance and operations in a Southern California School District saw the inconvenience and damage caused by rains on school grounds year after year and had no solution for the staff and students to cross the moving and standing water — other than pallets with wet, slippery plywood nailed to the top.

Colleagues in other school districts and city public works shared similar complaints and problems. After years of dealing with discouragement, worker injuries and serious liability concerns, the Puddle Jumper was born!

Puddle Jumpers stand alone, or if necessary, they have the versatility to be expanded to be taller, shorter, longer or wider. Using the bridge or feet accessories, simply snap them together with other Puddle Jumpers in whatever configuration works for your needs!
